An off-duty Boston police officer fatally shot a man who had chased a couple wielding a knife and threatening them. The officer intervened and told the criminal to drop the weapon, but he refused which lead to the shooting. Then Boston’s mayor Michelle Wu did not express any sorrow for the couple having to run for their lives from a criminal or the officer having to intervene, but only expressed condolences to the family of the deceased criminal.
